Why Emergent Consultancy?
Emergence - The process of innovation comes about not via some mysterious or mystical internal process but via the relational process of emergence. Emergence is the technical term for a process of coming into being that exceeds and supersedes its inputs.
The outcome of Emergence is innovation, creativity, something new, functional and fulfilling. Emergence occurs when people collaborate and integrate with others in order to find the best, most functional solution possible.
An emergent mindset is a leadership mindset, where the goal is not to individually own or have the answer, but to form teams of people who work collaboratively on the question and collectively arrive at the answer.
We didn't chose Emergent in the business name because it sounds sophisticated or interesting. We chose it because we desire the Emergent mindset, to be a founding principle for how we will do business.
